ACTAI partnered with the United Nations Accelerator Labs and Mission Blue to create a webinar around “Investing in the future of our ocean communities”

In 2019, UNDP set out to build the world’s largest and fastest learning network on sustainable development challenges. In less than a year, they have created 90 Lab teams covering 78 countries, which are now up and running within the United Nations, creating actionable intelligence and testing solutions for future potential for commercialization. ACTAI fostered a dialogue between Achim Steiner, Administrator of the United Nations Development Programme, and Dr. Sylvia Earle who want to engage with the ACTAI community of entrepreneurs to make their insights into sustainable businesses and fund innovation at scale. Representatives from the Barbados and Pakistan Labs spoke on their work on use of technologies such as blockchain to advance marine industries and solutions to the upstream lifecycle of plastics.
